Return Policy

THIS IS JAPAN is committed to ensuring the 100% satisfaction of our art collectors.

Once you’ve received an original artwork, you have seven (7) days to decide whether or not you’d like to keep that artwork or return it for a refund. You may return any eligible artwork (i.e. artwork that is not a Final Sale item, listed below), provided that it is returned to the artist in its original condition and packaging.

The 7-Day money-back guarantee is NOT applicable to the following final sale items:

  • Framed/Matted Open Edition Prints
  • Limited Edition/ One of a kind Works
  • Works for Sales

Once the returned item has been received and inspected, we will send you a notification email (whether you are eligible or not). Approved requests will then be processed and will be reflected in the account you used for the payment. Processing may take between 7  working days. If you haven’t received a refund within the specified time, please check with your bank and credit card company for an update.

Sale items Only regular priced items may be refunded. Unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.

Replacements We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at inquiry@thisisjapan.asia.

Shipping To return your product, please email us before you return. We will let you know the shipping address. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Regrettably, we cannot cover shipping costs as these are out of the company’s coverage.

Please note that we cannot cover return shipping fees. The cost of delivery upon purchase will also be deducted from the amount of purchase. Important: We charge a restocking fee of  30 % from the total cost (product price + shipping). Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer, otherwise, it will invalidate your eligibility.
